Self Care Years Beers Her Tears Rustic IPA
Made in collaboration with musical artist Rae Isla (well, mostly inspired by her name), this rustic IPA leans into soft haze, grainy depth, and a nostalgic hop bite that breaks from the current fruit-forward trend. Built on Chevalier barley dating back to 1870, with spelt malt adding bready, nutty character, plus corn and flaked barley for texture.
Hops are old-school on purpose—whole leaf Crystal in the mash, Crystal pellets and Columbus in the boil, Centennial and Columbus in the whirlpool, and a solo dry hop of Chinook. Earthy pine and fir vibes throughout.
If this sounds like 2005, you’re not far off—but these hops were shaping brews as early as the mid-80s. Like music and beer, it's art and science meeting in one glass. Paired to Rae’s new album. Enjoy.
