Glasrose Elderflower & Yuzu is a lightly sparkling, naturally non-alcoholic verjus made from estate-grown grapes in California’s Santa Ynez Valley. Rather than removing alcohol from finished wine, Glasrose presses low-sugar grapes before fermentation, preserving their bright natural acidity and aromatic character. The 2025 vintage combines organic verjus with yuzu juice, elderflower tea, green tea, white pepper, and pink Himalayan salt, giving it vivid citrus, delicate florals, subtle tannin, and a savory little edge. Crisp, tart, and beautifully structured, it has the complexity we want in a wine glass without trying to imitate wine.

Why We Love It

This is the kind of non-alcoholic bottle we get excited about: vineyard-driven, genuinely interesting, and made with food in mind. The verjus brings acidity and structure, yuzu gives it a gorgeous citrus lift, and elderflower softens everything with just enough floral character. Green tea, white pepper, and salt keep it dry and layered rather than simply fruity. It’s elegant but not precious, and a great choice for anyone looking for something beyond traditional non-alcoholic wine.

How to Drink Glasrose Elderflower & Yuzu

Chill it well and pour it straight into a wine glass or coupe. It’s lovely completely on its own, and the bright acidity, gentle bubbles, and floral citrus notes make it especially good as an aperitif.

Cheeky & Dry Signature Serve — Yuzu Hugo: 4 oz Glasrose Elderflower & Yuzu, ½ oz Giffard Elderflower, ¼ oz fresh lime juice, and fresh mint. Gently press the mint with the lime in a wine glass, add plenty of ice, Giffard Elderflower, and Glasrose, then give it a gentle stir and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint.

Pair it with: hamachi crudo with citrus and olive oil, grilled prawns with herbs, goat cheese and asparagus tart, roast chicken with preserved lemon, or sushi and sashimi.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Vivid yuzu and citrus peel lead, with delicate elderflower and a fresh, aromatic lift from the green tea. Clean and bright with a subtle floral depth.

Palate: Crisp and tart — the verjus acidity carries through the mid-palate, with yuzu citrus and elderflower florals balanced by subtle tannin from the green tea and a savory edge from white pepper and pink Himalayan salt. Beautifully structured without any sweetness.

Finish: Dry and refreshing, with lingering citrus, a whisper of white pepper, and a clean mineral fade. The pre-fermentation pressing preserves a natural brightness that sets it apart from dealcoholized wines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Glasrose Elderflower & Yuzu non-alcoholic?
Yes. Glasrose is naturally non-alcoholic — the grapes are pressed before fermentation begins, so no alcohol is ever produced or removed. It contains 0.0% ABV.

What is verjus and how is Glasrose different from dealcoholized wine?
Verjus is the juice of unfermented grapes, pressed before the sugars convert to alcohol. Glasrose is made this way from the start — nothing is removed. Most non-alcoholic wines begin as regular wine and have the alcohol stripped out, which can affect flavor and texture. Glasrose preserves the grape’s natural acidity and aromatics in their original form.

Where are the grapes grown?
Glasrose uses estate-grown grapes from California’s Santa Ynez Valley, a region known for its cool-climate viticulture and aromatic white varieties. The low-sugar grapes are pressed before fermentation to create the verjus base.

What does Glasrose Elderflower & Yuzu taste like?
Crisp, tart and floral — vivid yuzu citrus and delicate elderflower up front, with bright verjus acidity, subtle green tea tannin, and a savory edge from white pepper and pink Himalayan salt. Dry and structured throughout, with no added sweetness.

Does Glasrose vary by vintage?
Yes. The 2025 vintage features the Elderflower & Yuzu blend. Like wine, each vintage reflects the character of that year’s harvest and Glasrose’s seasonal botanical choices.

Is Glasrose a good white wine or Champagne alternative?
Yes — its bright acidity, fine bubbles, floral citrus character and dry finish make it a compelling substitute for crisp white wines and dry sparkling wines. It’s especially well suited to occasions where you’d reach for a Chablis, Champagne, or dry Grüner Veltliner.

Does Cheeky & Dry ship Glasrose nationwide?
Yes — we ship across the US. Naturally non-alcoholic verjus ships without the restrictions that apply to alcoholic beverages.

How should I serve and store Glasrose?
Serve well chilled in a wine glass or coupe. Store unopened in a cool, dark place; once opened, refrigerate and consume within 1–2 days for best carbonation and flavor.
