All The Bitter New Orleans Spiced Cherry Bitters are tart, vibrant and distinctly anise-forward, inspired by the classic New Orleans style of cocktail bitters. Tart cherry, hibiscus and rosehips bring bright fruit and acidity, while star anise, fennel, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove add spice and aromatic depth. Gentian and dandelion root provide a proper bitter backbone, keeping the fruit firmly on the sophisticated side. Handmade in small batches from whole botanicals, these non-alcoholic bitters are 0% ABV.
Why We Love It
Spiced Cherry is the lively one in the All The Bitter family. The cherry is tart rather than candied, and that generous thread of anise gives it a personality entirely its own. Founders Carly and Ian met while working as sommeliers at The French Laundry, and their instinct for balance is particularly apparent here: fruit, floral notes, spice and bitterness all have something to say without shouting over one another. We love it in a Sazerac, but it’s equally useful with citrus, hibiscus, non-alcoholic red wine or anything that could use a little tartness and intrigue.
How to Drink All The Bitter Spiced Cherry Bitters
Use a few dashes in a Sazerac, Vieux Carré or Old Fashioned, or pair them with citrus-forward drinks where the tart cherry and anise can really shine. For something effortless, add several dashes to sparkling water over ice with a generous squeeze of lime.
Cheeky & Dry Signature Serve — Hibiscus Sour: Combine 2½ oz chilled hibiscus tea, ¾ oz grapefruit juice, ¾ oz fresh lime juice, ½ oz agave nectar and 5 dashes All The Bitter Spiced Cherry Bitters in a shaker. Add one egg white, dry shake vigorously, then add ice and shake again. Fine strain into a coupe. Tart, floral and beautifully structured, with the bitters adding the layer that makes the whole drink come together.
