Noughty Rouge Syrah is a non-alcoholic red wine made from 100% Syrah grown in dryland-farmed vineyards in Darling, South Africa. Deep ruby in the glass, it brings ripe red fruit, candied cherry, crushed black pepper and dried rose petal, with French oak tannins adding structure. It is a balanced, medium-bodied red with enough spice and grip to give the fruit a distinctly grown-up edge.

Why We Love It

The black pepper is what makes Noughty Rouge so appealing to us. It gives the ripe cherry a savory edge, and the French oak tannins bring the structure we want from Syrah. There is a dried rose note tucked in there too, which makes the wine more interesting with every sip. This is for anyone who wants their red wine to have fruit, certainly, but also a little depth and attitude.

Especially good with: Grilled lamb, mushroom ragù, smoky eggplant, a juicy burger, lentil shepherd’s pie, or a wedge of aged cheddar. Its dark fruit and peppery tannins are happiest with rich, savory, earthy and smoky food.
